Structured data property checker

Is your markup
complete?

Paste a page or its JSON-LD and see which required and recommended properties Google documents are missing from each item.

A reading of the pasted text against Google's documentation for seven types, not the Rich Results Test. It cannot tell whether the markup matches the visible page or whether Google will show a rich result. Nothing is uploaded.

What Google says

"You only need to provide one of review, aggregateRating, and offers, but the product snippets section of the Rich Results Test may report a warning if you provide offers without review or aggregateRating properties."

"define a BreadcrumbList that contains at least two ListItems."

"This field must be shorter than 100 characters. If it's 100 characters or longer, Google won't show a price range for the business." (about priceRange)

"At least one of ratingCount or reviewCount is required." (about AggregateRating)

Quoted from Google's Product snippet, breadcrumb, local business and review snippet pages, read on 2026-10-07. More: Product snippet rules, breadcrumb rules, LocalBusiness rules, general structured data guidelines.

How to use it

  1. 1
Paste the page source or the JSON-LD

Paste a whole page (view-source, or the HTML your CMS outputs) or just the JSON. The tool reads every script block of type application/ld+json, including items inside @graph and items nested in other items.

  2. 2
    Read the findings per item

For each item of a type the tool knows, you see the properties Google documents as required missing (errors), documented limits that are broken (warnings) and recommended properties that are absent (notes).

  3. 3
    Confirm with Google's own tools

This is a reading of the pasted text against Google's documentation. Run the Rich Results Test and the Search Console rich result reports to see what Google makes of the live page.

Questions

Which types does it check?

Product, BreadcrumbList, LocalBusiness, Article (with NewsArticle and BlogPosting), Organization, AggregateRating and Review. Any other @type is listed as not checked. LocalBusiness is matched by that exact name only, because the tool does not carry the list of its subtypes, so a Restaurant or Dentist item is reported as not checked.

What counts as an error, a warning and a note?

An error is a property Google's page lists as required and the item lacks, for example a Product without name, or a BreadcrumbList with fewer than two ListItems. A warning is a limit Google states that the item breaks, such as a priceRange of 100 characters or more. A note is a recommended property that is missing, or an observation. Notes are not problems you must fix.

Where do the rules come from?

From Google's documentation for Product snippets, breadcrumbs, local business, Article, Organization and review snippets, read on 2026-10-07 and summarised on our reference pages for each. Google can change them, so treat Google's pages as the final word.

Does passing mean I get a rich result?

No. Google says valid markup makes a page eligible, not guaranteed, to show a rich result. This tool does not test eligibility, content that matches the visible page, or Google's spam and quality policies.

How is it different from the JSON-LD checker?

The JSON-LD checker finds the blocks, parses them and lists the types. This tool goes one step further for the types above and compares their properties with what Google documents. Use the JSON-LD checker first if a block will not parse.

Is anything uploaded?

No. Parsing and checking run as JavaScript in your browser and nothing is sent to a server. The tool never requests a URL either.
