How to use it
- 1Paste your keywords
One keyword per line, up to 2,000. Duplicates are removed (ignoring case) and any lines beyond 2,000 are ignored.
- 2Read the groups
Keywords that share a word or two-word phrase are grouped under it, biggest groups first. Each keyword goes in only one group. Keywords that share nothing with enough others land in Ungrouped.
- 3Refine by hand, then export
Treat the groups as a starting point for topic clusters: merge, split and rename them using what you know about intent and the search results. Copy the text or download a CSV (group, keyword).
Questions
Does this group by search intent?
No. It groups by shared words only. Two keywords can share a word and have different intent ("apple pie recipe" and "apple stock price"), and two keywords with no shared words can have the same intent ("cheap flights" and "budget airfare"). It does not look at search results or SERP overlap either. Use the groups as a first draft and check intent yourself.
How does the grouping work?
Each keyword is lowercased and split into words. A small list of common words (such as the, for, how, best and top) is ignored, and a plural s is trimmed so "shoe" and "shoes" match. The tool counts how many keywords contain each word and each two-word phrase, takes the most common one that appears in at least your minimum group size, puts every ungrouped keyword that contains it in that group, and repeats. A two-word phrase wins a tie against a single word.
Why is a keyword in a group I did not expect?
A keyword goes to the first group that claims it, which is the biggest one it matches. A short, common word can pull in keywords that you would split. Raise the minimum group size, or move keywords by hand in a spreadsheet.
What are the limits?
Up to 2,000 keywords per paste. It works on words as typed, in any language that separates words with spaces or punctuation. It does not stem words beyond a trailing s, understand synonyms, or know search volume or difficulty.
Is the CSV safe to open in a spreadsheet?
Cells that start with =, +, - or @ get a leading apostrophe so spreadsheets do not treat them as formulas. Commas, quotes and line breaks are escaped. The file has two columns: group and keyword.
Is my list uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is sent or stored.
