Set the publication status, and turn on auto-publish if articles should be sent as soon as they are ready.

Step-by-step guide in the help center →

What gets published

  • Whatever your collection maps: title, slug, article body (HTML), main image, description and created date.
  • The item is created as a live item, or as a draft when the integration is set to Draft, for you to publish in Webflow.
  • Balzac records the item’s public address once Webflow has it.

When you edit

  • Edit an article in Balzac and the Webflow item is updated in place and re-published.
  • With the integration on Draft, only the staged item changes: you publish drafts in Webflow.
  • If you unpublished the item in Webflow, the update goes to its staged version instead of bringing it back live.
  • The cover goes again only when it changed. A slug change only moves the item if your collection maps a field to the slug.

What you need

  • A Webflow site with a CMS collection for your blog posts.
  • A Webflow API token for that site.
  • Collection fields to map the article to (the app maps by field, so you decide which field gets the title, the body, the image).

How does Balzac connect to Webflow?

With a Webflow API token. Paste it in, and Balzac fetches your sites and collections so you can pick where articles go.

Which fields does Balzac fill?

The ones you map. Balzac can fill a field with the title, slug, article body, main image, description or created date, according to the mapping you choose for your collection.

Can articles go in as drafts?

Yes. Set the Webflow publication status to Draft and items are created as drafts for you to review and publish in Webflow.

What if I change the article after it is published?
