If you are comparing Page Optimizer Pro alternatives, start with the difference between scoring a page and producing one. Everything about Page Optimizer Pro (POP) below comes from its public pricing page as of 9 October 2026; tell us if something has changed and we will fix it.

POP is an on-page optimization tool: it analyses the pages that rank for your keyword and tells you what to change, with a content editor, a brief, recommendations that appear inside Google Docs, WordPress and 20+ other editors, a Chrome extension, an AI Writer, keyword tools and an AI Visibility Tracker. It lists three plans: Basic at $40 a month billed monthly, Unlimited at $72 a month or $62 a month billed annually ($739 a year), and Teams at $143 a month or $119 billed annually ($1,425 a year), with unlimited domains. Unlimited and Teams include unlimited POP reports, under a fair use policy; the AI Writer, E-E-A-T, NLP and Watchdog tools run on monthly credits (20, 50 and 120), and extra credits are sold in bundles starting at $15 for 10. It also sells done-for-you services, which we have not compared. We did not see automatic publishing to a CMS or Search Console on the pricing page; its help text says to copy content from POP to your page.

Balzac is different: you give it your website, and it researches the searches you could win, writes the articles and publishes them on a schedule you set, in a fixed allowance of 30 articles a month per website on the Columnist plan, and refreshes live articles that rank in positions 8 to 20 using your Search Console data.

On price, POP is cheaper at the entry: $40 a month against $79, and Unlimited on annual billing works out at $62. Balzac's $79 is for 30 finished, published articles; POP's price is for tools you drive.

On trying it, POP lists a 7-day refund guarantee, subject to its refund policy; we did not find a free trial on the page we read. Balzac writes 3 full articles for free with no card, and paid plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee on the first payment.
